DJI Launches Game-Changing T100 & T70 Series Agricultural Drones with AI & AR for Enhanced Safety and Efficiency

On November 25, 2024, DJI Agriculture officially released three agricultural drones, the T100 and T70 series, all of which incorporate new AI and AR features to further enhance safety and meet a wide range of operational scenarios such as spraying, spreading, and lifting. The T100 is the new flagship agricultural drone, with a spraying load of 75 kg, a spreading capacity of 150 liters, and a lifting capacity of 85 kg; the T70 series of agricultural drones are more affordable, but also offer a much improved performance over its predecessor, the flagship T60 agricultural drone; and the T25P agricultural drone, which was released last year, is still available for sale.

T100 series

The T100 agricultural drone is the most efficient, the largest rated takeoff weight, the most advanced safety system, and the first flagship agricultural drone equipped with AI and AR functions in DJI’s agricultural history. Its maximum takeoff weight reaches 149.9 kg, with 75 liters of spraying capacity and 150 liters of sowing capacity and 85 kg of lifting. It adopts a co-axial dual-rotor configuration with higher safety redundancy, 62-inch carbon fiber paddles with strong power, and a maximum single-axis pulling force of 82 kg, capable of flying at a maximum speed of 13.8 m/sec. This means that both the load, configuration and performance are up to the standard of a fully loaded flagship.

In order to cope with the complex farmland environment and ensure the safety of the flyer, surrounding people and vehicles, the T100 has upgraded its safety system to the “top of the line”. Equipped with new LIDAR and active phased array radar, it can sense and accurately recognize obstacles in all directions. Lidar captures spatial point cloud density of up to 300,000 per second, which can finely depict the boundary of obstacles, effectively improve the recognition rate of diagonal wires and electric wires, and take in the small obstacles in the field as far as the eye can see. Together with the new five-eye fisheye vision system can 360-degree real-time perception of the environment, and through the remote control real-time warning to protect the takeoff safety. With the optional lifting module, the T100 has a lifting capacity of 85 kilograms, which enables it to carry more and farther, and even lift the charging station it needs for its own operation directly up the mountain. However, with a series of lightweight designs such as the swinging paddle, the T70 series is also 10 kilograms lighter than the T60.
